Baking Date: May 2012
Mother’s Day was special this year for my son’s travel baseball team. Each mom was able to make the game, including one of the moms who is battling breast cancer.
In honor of the day, I made devil’s food cupcakes, iced with vanilla frosting piped on in a swirl pattern, and blue sparkling gel frosting. I then added a blue heart candy melt that had their son’s uniform number written on in white sparkling gel frosting, and finished with blue sugar sprinkles. The cupcakes were placed in fancy blue foil “tulip” cupcake papers. I had the boys give the cupcakes to their moms after the game.
