I made a chocolate, two-layer cake for a Memorial Day party. I decided to ice it in vanilla frosting and then decorate it with red, white and blue candy melt stars.
Here are the candy melt stars – in two sizes. I shave the edges off with a sharp knife to clean them up a bit once I pop them out of the mold.
Here is the decorated cake, along with the star candy melts. I added some sparkling gel frosting on some of the candies.
