This was my second attempt at using the Wilton cupcake pan in tulip, flower and butterfly shapes. This time, I added a bit more batter so it would fill in the shape of the cupcake. Again, not exactly the intended result, but slightly better than last time. I had to slice off the top of each cupcake to get a flat surface that (sort of) resembled the intended shape. I probably won’t use the pan again. Too much work!
I outlined the top of the cupcake shape with vanilla frosting, and then filled it in with dyed vanilla frosting using the McCormick’s Neon food colors.
The kids didn’t seem to mind that the shapes weren’t perfect. They gobbled them up!
